Job Description
6-month Data Engineer/PowerBI developer contract with an enterprise organization who has made significant investments into analytics
- 6-month Data Engineer/PowerBI Developer contract.

This Senior Data Engineer role supports ESG Reporting & sustainability initiatives by building enterprise-level PowerBI dashboards and semantic data models. You'll partner closely with Sustainability and Climate business teams to analyze data, create visualizations using DAX queries and charts, and translate sustainability metrics into strategic reporting tools. Responsibilities include following PowerBI standards and best practices, managing workspace configurations and capacity, documenting dashboard runbooks, scheduling reports, and collaborating with QA teams on data quality issues. This role requires advanced PowerBI expertise, Snowflake database experience, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work autonomously while maintaining accountability for your technical domain.

They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a primarily in-office work environment with 4 days a week in office.
You:You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:
- 8+ years of data engineering experience with advanced data analysis and dashboarding skills in Power BI, including semantic model development and DAX queries.
- Experience working with Snowflake database to extract, transform, and analyze data for reporting and visualization purposes.
- Power BI and Fabric administration skills, including workspace configuration, capacity management, report scheduling, and fundamental administrative tasks.
- Strong documentation and cross-functional collaboration abilities, with proven experience creating templates, training materials, and runbooks for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
This role pays between $80-90 per hour.
