Location: Remote - Canada Wide

Position Summary

Microserve is looking for an Order Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment and must be able to work individually and as part of a team. If you have proven skills around managing high volumes of work and a demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives to meet deadlines, you will be successful in this role. This role can be worked remotely anywhere in Canada with the candidate willing to work BC hours (PST). 

The Order Management Specialist is one the main points of contact for our clients. A pleasant disposition and the ability to interact well with clients and various internal teams is very important for this position. The Order Management Specialist is responsible for processing orders, receiving and acting on general inquiries regarding the orders. The successful candidate must have the ability to maintain professional behavior under pressure in person, through email communication, and on the telephone. The successful candidate will also need to possess exceptional customer service and strong computer skills, including data entry.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage high volumes of orders that need to be processed according to client specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs) 

  • Responsible for ensuring 100% accuracy on order transactions

  • Assist all client requests quickly and professionally by providing exemplary customer service 

  • Provide quotes as needed to the sales team 

  • Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed 

  • Provide shipping and tracking information to clients as required 

  • Process returns and credits as required 

  • Submit orders accordingly to the warehouse team for fulfillment 

  • Responsible for data entry related tasks 

  • Responsible for reporting on various related metrics/data points 

  • Escalate issues accordingly to the appropriate party within the procurement and warehouse teams 

  • Compile and prepare detailed reports for clients, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of relevant data and insights. 

 

Skills Required: 

  • Excellent and accurate verbal and written communication skills 

  • Be energetic and self-motivated to work independently, while being part of a winning team 

  • Have the proven ability to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment 

  • Ability to develop strong business relationships and increase sales via telephone 

  • Be reliable, punctual, and a team player 

  • Be willing to contribute to an enthusiastic and positive work environment 

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity 

  • Must have high attention to detail 


Requirements: 

  • Post-secondary education 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is considered an asset 

  • Must be familiar with MS Office applications (i.e., Outlook, Excel and Word) 

  • Advanced MS Excel experience is required 

  • Experience with ERP or CRM tools 

  • 1-2 years of strong telephone and customer service experience is considered an asset 

  • Previous administrative experience would be an asset 

  • Familiarity with computer systems and/or components is an asset

Compensation: In accordance with the BC Pay Transparency Act the range for this role for BC residents is $41,000 - $49,000 annually. Please note the exact salary is determined based on a combination of your relevant experience, skill, competencies, geographical location and internal pay equity.
