Compensation
BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $135,200 - $179,100
MB & ON: $123,300 - $169,800
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $122,100 - $162,200

You'll apply your process engineering expertise to projects that improve environmental performance, enhance regulatory compliance, and support responsible resource development across Canada. In this role, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists, engage directly with clients, and guide the delivery of complex treatment solutions that make a measurable difference to industry and communities.
Your Impact
- Lead process engineering for water treatment projects-from concept through commissioning-advancing performance, compliance, and long-term sustainability.
- Deliver process design work including mass balances, hydraulic assessments, equipment sizing, and treatment technology selection to support project decisions and client outcomes.
- Provide oversight as Project Manager or Engineer-of-Record to ensure safe, high-quality, on-time, on-budget project delivery.
- Collaborate with water treatment, mining, geochemistry, and environmental colleagues across Canada and North America to integrate solutions that address complex site challenges.
- Drive proposal development and client engagement, shaping scopes of work and building opportunities that expand our impact and strengthen relationships.
- Mentor and support junior and intermediate engineers, fostering an environment of continuous learning, technical excellence, and shared purpose.
- Contribute to project innovations that enhance water stewardship outcomes aligned with WSP's commitment to environmental responsibility.
- Deep experience (typically 15+ years) delivering process engineering in consulting environments, with a strong focus on water treatment for mining or industrial applications.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in a Canadian province, with demonstrated accountability for technical decisions and project leadership.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams while driving clarity, alignment, and high-quality outcomes.
- Advanced capability with water/process modelling tools such as HYSIM/HYSIS, OLI, or Wave.
- Experience in metallurgy, commissioning, pilot testing, or operational support considered an asset.
- Comfortable engaging directly with clients, shaping scopes, and positioning teams for success in complex pursuits.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites and client locations as required.
