About the Opportunity

North Shore Law LLP is looking for a full-time Corporate Paralegal based in North Vancouver, BC.

Reporting to a Partner and Associate, and working closely with a Senior Paralegal and Legal Administrative Assistant, this role is responsible for supporting a busy solicitor’s practice through corporate transactional work, minute book management, and legal document preparation.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and filing corporate documents with BC Registry Services and Corporations Canada
  • Managing annual corporate maintenance and electronic minute books
  • Supporting incorporations, dissolutions, company name changes, and alterations
  • Coordinating changes to directors, officers, registered offices, and records offices
  • Preparing documents related to dividends, share allotments, redemptions, and transfers
  • Drafting articles and routine corporate correspondence and documentation
  • Conducting corporate, PPSA, court, land title, and other due diligence searches
  • Assisting with corporate M&A transactions and closing documentation
  • Preparing transactional reports and managing bring-forward systems
  • Reviewing and organizing corporate records and minute books
  • Collaborating with legal professionals to support ongoing client matters
  • Performing general administrative and document management duties as required
About You

To qualify, you will need to be a graduate of a recognized Paralegal program and have experience working in corporate law, ideally in private practice. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Corporate Paralegal role will also be essential.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Experience managing corporate M&A transactions and conducting due diligence searches
  • Proficiency using ALF and managing electronic minute books independently
  • Strong knowledge of BC Registry Services and Corporations Canada filings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, grammar, and editing skills
  • Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and document management abilities
  • Ability to work independently while contributing collaboratively within a team environment
