Ideal for a seasoned QuickBooks Enterprise user who’s confident with reconciliations, reporting, and collections, and is looking for flexible, ongoing contract work with strong potential for extension.
Part-Time (Approx. 20 Hours/Week) | 3-Month Initial Contract | Surrey, BC (On-Site)

Our client is a BC-based industrial safety and emergency response organization providing standby rescue services, safety training, compliance support, and equipment solutions. The company supports a wide range of high-risk industries including construction, mining, energy, and infrastructure projects across Canada, with a focus on regulatory compliance and workplace safety.
What- The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced AP/AR Specialist to join their finance team on a part-time contract basis. This role has been created to support a rapidly growing business and provide additional capacity across accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and month-end activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional who can step in with minimal training and work independently from day one. The initial term is three months, with strong potential for ongoing, long-term contract work as the business continues to grow. Flexible scheduling is available.
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice processing, coding, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, payment applications, and aging management.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Enterprise.
- Support month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial processing.
- Identify process improvements and maintain accurate financial documentation.
- 5+ years of full-cycle AP/AR experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise is required.
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to work confidently with financial data and reporting.
- Experience supporting month-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Confident handling collections with professionalism and strong customer service.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Available to work approximately 20 hours per week in-office in Surrey, BC.
- Open to candidates currently working as independent bookkeepers or looking to supplement an existing client portfolio.
$31-32/hr + 4% vacation pay.
Where:
Surrey, BC, work to be completed onsite at clients office.
