Position Information
Location New Westminster Campus Salary Range
$50,990 annually (with wage increments to a max of $56,671 annually). Salary and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
The Opportunity
You ensure that all forms of payment are received, documented, recorded, and deposited accurately. You monitor outstanding receivables, including student accounts and external invoices, and ensure follow-up in line with established guidelines. You provide general accounting support through account review, verification, and reconciliation. You review and process student refund requests, evaluating information carefully to ensure accuracy. You manage internal requests for special projects, fee deferrals, and miscellaneous charges. You respond to inquiries from the College community, supporting troubleshooting and problem-solving for Accounts Receivable processes. You provide exceptional client-centered service to all stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and accuracy at every step.

WHAT IT TAKES
• Completion of a one-year related program at a recognized post-secondary institution with a minimum of two (2) years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum one-year experience using a major ERP accounting system.
• Proven experience with accounts receivable and cash management processes and procedures using generally accepted accounting principles at an intermediate level.
• Proven ability to communicate the financial impact of transactions and processes.
• Demonstrated experience in meeting multiple and conflicting deadlines.

Additional Information
• This regular full-time (35 hours per week) position is available starting May 4, 2026.
• Regular hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Shift days and times may change depending on the Department's need. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.
• The position is located at the New Westminster campus; however, successful candidate must be available for occasional work at all Douglas College campuses and offsite locations.
