Who – The Company:

Our client is a well-established North American company that provides vehicle services to a range of businesses and organizations. They have a team-oriented, collaborative culture and offer opportunities for professional growth and development.

What – The Role:

SWIM is partnering with this organization to recruit a Service Manager to lead a high-performing service team. This role combines hands-on operational oversight, client management, and strategic leadership, ensuring the department runs efficiently, profitably, and with a high-quality customer experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee service department operations and manage day-to-day performance metrics.
  • Develop strategies to increase service engagement and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Implement a service menu and standard operating procedures to streamline maintenance and repair recommendations.
  • Provide accurate quotes for labor and parts and establish realistic timelines for project completion.
  • Monitor weekly and monthly service performance and sales metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Lead a small team of service professionals, coaching, mentoring, and ensuring adherence to operational standards.
  • Maintain parts inventory while optimizing inventory turns and managing costs.
  • Oversee accounts receivable, following up on overdue payments and maintaining client relationships.
  • Enforce facility safety, cleanliness, and professional standards.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff, clearly communicating expectations and fostering accountability.

Who – The Candidate:

We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented leader who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate enjoys a hands-on role with strategic oversight, has excellent operational and people management skills, and can balance client needs with departmental efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience managing multi-person teams in service, operations, or technical environments.
  • Strong customer service and client relationship skills.
  • Proven experience in operational efficiency, reporting, and budget oversight.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort in mentoring and developing staff while setting clear expectations.
  • Willingness to adapt to new vehicle technologies, processes, and systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-focused culture.

Where:

The company’s office is outside Vancouver, and the Service Manager will work full-time in the office.

How Much:

This role offers a competitive compensation package, including:

  • A base salary of $75,000 - $85,000 base commensurate with experience.
  • Performance-based bonus program with uncapped incentives.
