Express Employment Professionals – Delta/Richmond is currently recruiting for a Production Manager on behalf of our client, an award-winning and growing company in the metal manufacturing industry located in Richmond, BC.

Due to continued business growth and expansion, our client is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead their manufacturing operations. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity offering a competitive salary, bonus potential, and the chance to join an industry leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage daily production schedules

• Oversee the production process in accordance with the company's Quality Management System

• Meet or exceed established production KPIs

• Establish standard labor hours and monitor production variances

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs)

• Ensure products meet or exceed first-pass quality standards

• Calculate labor and material costs for production projects

• Manage preventive maintenance schedules for equipment

• Monitor product quality and implement quality control initiatives

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, company policies, and manufacturing procedures

• Promote and enforce workplace health and safety standards

• Collaborate with multiple departments to achieve production goals

• Lead, coach, develop, and motivate production employees

• Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing feedback

• Participate in manufacturing improvement projects and operational initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in metal, metal parts, or related manufacturing

• Proven leadership, planning, and production management experience

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage budgets

• Experience working independently and leading production teams

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience managing and leading a multicultural workforce

Compensation & Schedule

• Salary: $85,000–$92,000 per year

• Year-end performance bonus

• Full-time, Monday to Friday (Day Shift)

• Flexibility to work other shifts as operational needs require

• Time off in lieu available when applicable
