Part-time Cashier / Line Cook
McDonald's Esquimalt (1149 Esquimalt Rd, Esquimalt, BC V9A 3N6)
Must be available to work 4:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Starting Wage: $17.85
Carpenter Enterprises (B.C.) Inc is an independently owned and operated franchise of McDonald's in British Columbia. We're looking for part-time Cashier / Line Cook Team Members who want a flexible opportunity to earn extra income while gaining valuable experience.
This part-time role is perfect for anyone looking to supplement their earnings. You'll help deliver exceptional guest service, prepare food and beverages, and keep the restaurant running smoothly during afternoon and evening shifts.
Position Summary
The part-time Cashier / Line Cook works in a fast-paced team environment to complete assigned tasks during scheduled 7-8 hour shifts. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests, take orders, and process payments accurately
  • Prepare food and beverages to McDonald's standards
  • Assemble dine-in, take-out, and delivery orders
  • Follow structured procedures and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment
  • Communicate effectively with team members and managers
  • Adhere to food safety standards, company policies, and Occupational Health and Safety requirements

Qualifications
  • Must be available from 4pm to 11pm
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • No prior experience required; experience in food service, retail, or customer service is an asset
  • Friendly, approachable, and team-oriented

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged standing and walking
  • Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Exposure to kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals
  • Fast-paced, dynamic work environment

Compensation & Workplace Commitment
  • Starting wage of $17.85 per hour
