Job Description:

You are a significant contributor to your team and to your department. You solve complex and broad customer-facing business problems with simple and straightforward solutions, applying appropriate technologies and web development engineering best practices. You recognize and adopt best practices in web development engineering: design, testing, version control, documentation, build, deployment, and operations. You write high quality, maintainable, and robust code, often in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Perl and JSP that function well across browsers. You recognize and utilize user interface design patterns to solve business problems with highly accessible and usable web applications. You have a working knowledge of UI design principles and are able to apply style guides to new interface use cases. You regularly work in collaboration with UI designers on website interface and interactivity.

Terms of Employment: Full time, permanent position

Basic Requirements:

• Experience in XHTML, Javascript, CSS and general Web 2.0 techniques
• Understanding of web services technologies such as SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, XSD, and REST
• Experience in Struts, Swing or JSP
• Experience developing AJAX interfaces with AJAX libraries and frameworks (e.g. YUI, DOJO, JQuery, Prototype, etc.)
• Experience in a Unix/Linux environment
• 2+ years of software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
