The position:


Our client is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor / Stores Supervisor to join their team in Delta, BC. As the Warehouse Supervisor, you would report to the Materials Manager and you would have 5 direct reports. Working hours are Monday to Friday 6 or 6:30AM to 2:30 or 3PM.

The role:

You are an experienced warehouse supervisor with 5-7 years of experience. You will be responsible for inventory management, overseeing the shipping and receiving department and liaise with the engineering and sales department to ensure an efficient flow of parts and materials. Your responsibilities will include the following:


  • Train and assign stores personnel within the Stores team, in response to work load demands in a manner consistent with the needs of the Stores and Production departments. 
  • Maintain overall quality standards of all shipping, receiving, safety, and inventory maintenance procedures and equipment within Stores. 
  • Maintain M3 Inventory through stock adjustments as required by NCR, discrepancy and inventory procedures. 
  • Issue Distribution orders as required for material designated for 52M (boat) use. 
  • Receive distribution orders from 52M and ZNA as required.  Issue to and close manufacturing orders for manufacturing orders of boats, parts orders and vendor parts groups as required.
  • Expedite flow of parts through both receiving and NCR streams to support the needs of production, updated through the Team Meetings and related boards. 
  • Handle Engineering Design Impact Assessments for parts that are in the production stream already. 
  • Support production floor through non-PSC requiring adjustments to Manufacturing orders, and through facilitating PSC requiring changes driven both by production floor and Engineering teams.
  • Upon project start generate and populate the shortage list on the Team Meeting Boards.
  • Pick or delegate the picking of the Picker List or backorder list, update shortage board as required, noting any items in NCR on the board for follow-up.
  • Preparation for final QA of all Ancillary and Spares Kits, including the production, population and verification of all required Ancillary, QA Spares verification and Unique ID documents required by QA for final inspection. 
  • Work with Sales and Engineering to resolve any discrepancies between Sales Order and Manufacturing Order prior to boat and Ancillary final QA.
  • Un-issue returned parts from jobs on the floor and update Notes To File section with the list of unused items.
  • Backup for receiver duties, picker duties, Stores Clerk duties, Parts Order shipping duties, and Boat Shipping duties as required.
  • Safety Committee representative of Stores. 
  • Lead OFA Level 2 Attendant

What you have:

• 5+ years of warehousing experience including 2-3 years of leadership experience

• Experience and knowledge of cross border shipping

• Ideally having been TDG certified
• Experience supporting manufacturing projects is an asset

• Forklift Operator Certification an asset
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and reprioritize as needed
• Experience in establishing relationships with various levels of an organization
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proven computer skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills


Compensation & Benefits: 

•  3 weeks vacation

•  Comprehensive benefits package including RRSP contribution

• 47-53K, depending on experience

• Bonus of up to 10%
