Warehouse/Manufacturing associate (Geotechnical systems)

Express Employment Professionals Cloverdale/Langley's well established client in the Port Kells area of Surrey BC is looking for a Warehouse Labourer at their plant.  They provide development and application of Geotechnical and Post-Tensioning Systems for the Construction industry. Potential for a permanent placement for the right fit.

The planned work involves cutting plastic pipe to length (hack saw), trimming plastic pieces (box cutter), screwing together and gluing plastic pipes, clean-up, possibly working the receiving end of a cement operation (they would catch cement in bucket, call out, and screw a plastic plug into a hose), Forklift loading / unloading Using overhead cranes (prev. experience an asset) Packing / putting away hardware, Cutting steel on an abrasive saw, Mixing cement (includes moving bags of grout @ 30kg), and General warehousing.

The different tasks are all reasonably simple, someone who's a good learner is preferable. as time goes on there is much to learn and they attempt to cross-train to keep things covered when people are off. Forklift certification and training as well as crane safety training provided by the company. 

The individual must have steel toed boots (must cover their ankles). They will be required to wear a hardhat, safety glasses, ear plugs and a high-vis vest; these items would be supplied by the company, as would work gloves. They must have clothes suitable for working in a dirty warehouse (lots of dust, grime, some oil & grease, and fresh cement on Friday).

 Work day is 8am - 4:30pm, with 30 minute unpaid lunch break and two 10 minute coffee breaks. It is suggested that the person bring their own lunch (there is a fridge and microwaves)

 Pay rate of $23.00+ per hour depending exp.
