The Technology Solutions team in T&PD has an opening for a Technology Solutions Project Engineer to work collaboratively with the project manager and product development team to maximize productivity.

A Technology Solutions Project Engineer is a high-energy individual demonstrating resourcefulness, outstanding organizational and communication skills. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and updating the detailed plan, tracking the budget, tracking resources and assessing milestone completion and status.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and track detailed project plans for product development and equipment build projects
  • Track all costs and budgets through Oracle and support the development of revenue recognition models (where required)
  • Manage various project management tools and updates in support of the Project Manager
  • Track project requirements, deliverables, and changes to project deliverables or specifications, using a formal change management process
  • Support engineering and build teams to maintain schedule and budget, providing regular updates on progress
  • Communicate internally on progress against deliverables
  • Coordinate resources with functional managers

  • The ideal candidate will be results oriented, possess strong project management and communication skills, with experience in a product development environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in product development and project management
  • Certified Project Management Professional or SCRUM Master is an asset
  • Experience in project management of custom design and build projects in an engineering environment and knowledge of fuel cell stacks, fuel cell systems, test stations or similar systems would be an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a willingness to interact frequently with individuals and groups for project planning, and a proven ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
