Due to growth and staff movement the Surrey School District seeks to fill one position on our Technologist team! Reporting to the Manager of Grounds, this position is responsible for providing exceptional technical and grounds information support to ensure maintenance program and projects adhere to applicable codes, by-laws & regulations. This position develops, plans, organizes and schedules maintenance and other activities. This position communicates between internal and external/consultants/contractors/suppliers to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects and as such the ideal candidates must have exceptional communication skills both written and verbal. Success in this position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet multiple and competing deadlines as well as respond to time-oriented emergencies. The Technologist role requires thorough knowledge of computer applications and software applications related to the role.
The Surrey School District prides itself on providing our facilities staff with excellent work-life balance. Typical hours offer a shift of 7am-3pm, Monday to Friday. The successful applicants will be based out of the beautiful District Facilities Centre located in the heart of Surrey.

This is a unionized position that offers a 37.5 hour work week with an hourly wage rate of $31.10, plus a liberal benefit package including Municipal Pension, health, vacation and sick benefits.
