Technical Support Coordinator - Learning & Development

Do you have experience providing operational and technical support for a learning management system (LMS)? We have an opportunity for a technical support coordinator in our Learning and Development Services department to maintain and support our in-house learning systems including our LMS, various training environments used for systems training for employees, e-learning authoring tools, and our department’s team site.

What you’ll do

As a technical support coordinator in Learning & Development Services you will:

  • Be the primary resource responsible for supporting and maintaining the development and training delivery systems, including uploading and maintaining course content
  • Maintain best practices within the learning and development systems and suggest improvements to processes and methodologies
  • Participate in testing e-learning modules and online assessments for quality assurance
  • Support and train employees on the use of the systems with focus on best practices and troubleshoot issues that arise
  • Manage training environments including developing and revising data and scenarios for use in training, maintaining information and records on training environments, refreshing training environments before and after training sessions, implementing updates (such as Cost of Living Allowance), and troubleshooting technical issues on hardware, software, or data
  • Maintain the Learning and Development team sites on our intranet including creating new libraries for new training courses


Is this a good fit for you?

We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Manage projects, including establishing timelines, identifying resources, and monitoring progress
  • Facilitate working sessions and liaise with subject matter experts, instructors, and consultants, providing feedback to managers and instructors
  • Clearly present accurate and detailed written and verbal information to a variety of audiences
  • Develop and maintain working partnerships with various internal clients and external consultants
  • Develop and deliver educational sessions on the use of software systems, including Sharepoint
  • Use a variety of instructional technologies and audio-visual equipment


Your experience and educational background:

  • A university degree and a minimum of three years of experience working with learning management systems with a focus on adult education or training
  • A minimum of two years of experience with systems training, including maintenance of training environments and development of use-cases
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
