AWS Snow family is responsible for the Snowcone, Snowball and Snowmobile. These collectively provide edge computing capabilities and exabyte-scale data transfer for AWS customers. As a member of our team you will contribute to the customer facing experience of Snow family devices. Your activities will include design, development, testing, code reviews, and operations. You will work with and drive real improvements for customers from around the world.
Processing and moving large amounts of data at remote locations to the cloud quickly, securely, and cost-effectively is a rewarding challenge and we are eagerly looking for innovative leaders. AWS Snow values work-life balance. Most days, our entire team is co-located in the downtown Vancouver office, but we're also flexible with respect to needs that require occasional work from home. We generally keep core in-office hours from 10am to 4pm.
We are builder-operators of our services at AWS and have a modest on-call rotation where you'll participate once every 2-3 months. We don't like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don't get paged for the same issue twice.
