Team Managers play a key leadership role in our team environment. In addition to Occupational Health Nurse responsibilities, the Team Manager is responsible for leading the on-site team under the Manager, Clinical Operations to ensure effective and efficient delivery of our services and team engagement.

Here's how
    •Responsible for recruiting and onboarding activities, in collaboration with Manager, Clinical Operations, which include, creating Management Requisition Form (MRF), working with recruitment team, interviewing, completing Management Approval Form (MAF) for successful candidate, orientation and training new employees. As well as requesting TELUS equipment, email addresses, logins, etc.
    •Responsible for approving team members payroll by the payroll deadlines. Must ensure that hours are entered correctly including the # of hours, payroll code and WBS codes for proper pay and financial reporting.
    •Oversee staff including; performance management, motivating staff to achieve objectives, conducting performance evaluations (with assistance from the Manager, Clinical Operations), providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
    •Ensure to complete monthly one-on-one check in's with individual staff members and capture meeting in APPD for year-end performance evaluation.
    •Provide direction to staff regarding daily patient workflow to ensure all duties are outlined, assigned and managed in accordance to Medisys high client care standards
    •Collaborate with the Manager, Clinical Operations (and potentially P&C) to address problems with work quality, issues between employees and other concerns in an effective, timely manner.
    •Motivate team members and create strategies to boost productivity
    •Oversees team schedules and authorizes vacations, to ensure staffing levels meet operational needs. Once covered, confirms in email for Manager, Clinical Operations to document approval.
    •Track absence, vacation and personal wellness days for all staff.
    •Work with Manager, Clinical Operations on monthly financial reviews for their project to ensure all billing is captured, up to date forecast of revenues/expenses, FTE's, etc.
    •Will ensure that all contract related queries from the client are directed to the Manager, Clinical Operations.
    •Delegate work to employees, track progress and provide constructive feedback throughout projects
    •Organizing travel & accommodations for required training
    •Ensure clear and accountable documentation practices, following accepted TELUS Health Care Centre standards.
    •Collaborates with Manager, Clinical Operations in the updating of site standards, protocols, policies and processes designed to achieve the goals of high-level patient care and safety in the working environment.
    •Under the lead of the Manger, Clinic Operations, participates in the resolution of client concerns including reviewing and modifying existing processes.
    •Participate in client meetings with Manager, Clinical Operations.
    •Ensures clinic is fully stocked with medical equipment, supplies, medications, forms, etc.
    •Ensures Maintenance and delivery of all relative equipment for operations.
    •Maintain, clean, replace, purchase, refurbish, set up all new and old equipment used in the industry and according to site specifications.
    •Adheres to and promotes TELUS values and culture.


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •Successful completion and graduation from a Bachelor of Nursing program or equivalent.
    •Minimum 5 years of Nursing experience with at least 3 years emergency room/critical care, or emergency nursing combined with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity. Strong verbal and written skills
    •Current registration (or eligibility to register) with the The College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL).
    •A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in management of operations
    •Demonstrated ability to build effective teams and provide strong Management
    •Excellent communication skills & relationship building skills
    •Ability to prioritize, negotiate and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
    •Demonstrated ability to design and implement policy, procedures and improvement initiatives
    •Successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which support and enable sound decision-making
    •Ability to wear many hats in a fast paced environment
    •Committed to delivering the highest standard in patient care and client experience
    •Experience, knowledge, and proficiency in Occupational Health Nursing and/or industrial nursing an asset (or willingness to pursue same)
    •Medication administration including strong knowledge of advanced and critical care medications.
    •Demonstrates advanced physical assessment and critical thinking skills, and synthesizes findings to identify an appropriate diagnoses and develop a plan of care for each patient presentation
    •Experience in policy and program development an asset
    •Evidence of health teaching experience (peer/professional and client-centered) an asset
    •Experience in EKG Interpretation, Venipuncture, Pulmonary Function and Audiometric testing and Interpretation
    •Current CPR, ACLS, ITLS
    •Proven experience in the field of administration of industrial construction site medical services.
    •Non-Dot urine drug screening
    •Non-Dot Breath Alcohol screening
    •Class 5 NL driver's license with abstract.
    •Audiology course, or willing to obtain in first year of hire.
    •Pulmonary function course, or willing to obtain in first year of hire.
    •Fit Testing experience, instructor certification preferred.
    •WHMIS training an asset.
    •Evidence of active participation in professional growth and development activities
