Talent Acquisition Team Lead

Position Summary: 

We are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition, Team Lead to support and lead our Talent Acquisition (TA) Team.  This role will report into the Director, People & Culture is ultimately responsible for the overall execution of Microserve’ s TA strategy.  This role can be performed anywhere within Western Canada.  

The Talent Acquisition Team Lead will be responsible for guiding a team of TA professionals dedicated to the management of the end-to-end recruitment activity. This will include the ownership and facilitation of all recruitment activity for Microserve. This role will work closely with relevant stakeholders whilst contributing to the resourcing needs and long-term goals of Microserve. 



  • Leading and inspiring a highly motivated team of Talent Acquisition professionals which will include development, performance management, training, and supporting the team members to be successful on delivering talent in an efficient and effective manner 

  • Manage and monitor end to end recruitment activities for the company to ensure operational excellence 

  • Manage team expectations and measurements against department deliverables and KPI’s 

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, yearly TA KPI’s 

  • Responsible for updating TA KPI’s monthly and participate in quarterly business reviews with the larger People & Culture Team 

  • Additionally, the Team Lead will direct the recruiting strategy with their team members to optimize business results 

  • Lead team meetings to continuously improve our process and synchronize efforts 

  • Value added project leadership/contributor as assigned and needed 

  • Build reports, analyze data, and leverage information to advise stakeholders on the optimal talent acquisition approach 

  • Responsible for full cycle recruitment for roles assigned to them 

  • Maintain an up to date working knowledge of our industry in order to provide advice and guidance to relevant stakeholders, including Hiring Managers and TA Team 

  • Support the Microserve’ s organisational structure and hiring needs by developing well written, high quality job descriptions 

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in line with operational recruitment excellence  

  • Maximise the use and effectiveness of resources (i.e.: people, systems and processes) to deliver and manage accurate and high-quality end-to-end recruitment services to hiring managers, ensuring the team produces excellence in quality and service throughout 

  • Monitor industry best practice and identify opportunities for Microserve to remain competitive in the current market to ensure we can attract the best talent and build an ongoing pipeline for future vacancies 

  • Provide daily coaching and mentoring to the TA Team 

  • Responsible for performance management of the TA Team  

  • This Team Lead will also be responsible for recruiting their own positions – on an ad hoc basis depending on team recruitment workload per TA specialist  

  • Other duties assigned as needed  



  • 2 years minimum of Talent Acquisition leadership experience 

  • 2+ years minimum of hands-on experience with day-to-day recruitment activities  

  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field is considered an asset 

  • Experience creatively sourcing and recruiting candidates  

  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter required, LinkedIn Talent Insights preferred 

  • Experience using an ATS 

  • Experience with managing a budget as well as reporting on KPI’s 

  • Excellent business acumen, with high energy, sense of urgency, and can-do positive attitude 

  • Excellent communication and presence from experience working with senior to executive level leaders 

  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building, and networking skills 

  • Strong understanding of legal and compliance issues 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
