Consumer Payments team is looking for a rockstar support engineer to join our stable and growing team. We own tier-1 services supporting Amazon businesses WW with billions of transactions per day. We build systems that provide payment instruments and payment preferences to 800+ internal clients at an unprecedented scale, with accuracy, speed, and mission-critical availability. We innovate to improve customer experience across the globe. You bring in a deep understanding of AWS Cloud infrastructure, operational experience, and a desire to change the status quo. You will be influence the team and managers to define and revise the standards for operational excellence, availability and reliability. You will be responsible to operational excellence goals, drive automation efforts and own scaling for peak sale events. We'll support you with robust backend systems, mature processes, and a motivated team with a strong desire to improve customer experience.

• 3+ yrs of experience in a technical role
• Experience with a Unix base O/S
• Experience scripting (any one of Shell, Perl, Python etc.)
• Experience debugging/troubleshooting
• Knowledge of programming languages Java or C++ or C


• Strong understanding of support - tickets, monitoring, pipelines, and metrics
• A passion towards problem-solving
• Willing to work in on-call support environment (on rotation basis)
