Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together

We are looking for a confident, curious and highly motivated self-starter to join our team as a Strategy Manager. You will be a trusted advisor, playing an integral role in guiding our business strategy while clearly and effectively communicating with both internal and external stakeholders. Your stewardship of our financial roadmap and various adjacencies will enhance the team's ability to drive transformational business programs. You will play a leading role in the development of our business strategy and support the effectiveness of its execution through data driven insights, scenario-based analysis and planning.

With your exemplary skills in business case development, financial modeling, data analysis and research, you will work with a cross-functional team to closely monitor strategic initiatives, improve alignment on reporting and ensure all of our activities leverage data-driven insights.

Here's how

    • Lead the development of the program's strategic plan and ongoing strategic reviews • Develop monthly, quarterly and annual program targets with a solid understanding of the impact to overall costs and revenue • Assess ambiguous business problems in a logical and thoughtful manner, particularly with respect to new capabilities and business strategies • Conduct scenario-based analysis and modeling to facilitate strategic decision making • Analyze data and make recommendations to improve performance outcomes • Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers, influencers and business leaders • Enhance and evolve reporting processes and dashboards to provide meaningful insights to team members on a regular basis • Draft weekly reporting documents for a variety of different audiences and governance forums




Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle

    • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel as well as other collaboration tools (Google Suite) in common use at TELUS, including significant experience creating and using macros in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel • Skilled in strategy development, business analysis and project management • Excellent storytelling and presentation abilities with demonstrated ability to take the message to senior leaders within and across the organization • Ability to tackle ambiguous problems in a clear and strategic manner, as a business case or structured project/program • Ability to confidently & tactfully collaborate and influence without hierarchical authority • Proven business acumen with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and financial skills • Superior time management and attention to detail


Great-to-haves

    • Post-secondary degree in finance, business or information technology
