The Online Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing email marketing campaigns, digital content and managing the BCAA social media presence across multiple channels. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on brands such as EVO Car Share, White Caps, WHL, Marble Slab Creamery, Joe Fresh, and hundreds of other local BC Partners. This person needs to be immersed in digital marketing, building and deploying digital content and driving engagement with Members and customers.What is the status?

35 hour work week Key Responsibilities Include What you will be doing?
•Strategize, build and deploy targeted email marketing campaigns for BCAA.•Manage, create and post continuous content to the BCAA social channels in an effort to reach new fans and drive engagement.•Oversee the social media and email calendar, developing and implementing content strategy so that it aligns with brand marketing activities and the quarterly campaigns.•Work closely with the Senior Associate Manager, Online Marketing, seeking alignment, guidance and direction on day-to-day responsibilities.•Manage our online reputation to ensure that all digital and social media platforms are effectively monitored; identify and resolve consumer issues in a timely, accurate and on brand manner.•Establish KPIs and benchmarks to track performance across social email channels and email marketing activities•Conduct rigorous quality assurance testing on emails and review social content prior to deployment.•Analyze and report on campaign/activity results and metrics. Providing recommendations for future campaigns and optimizing content.•Work closely with Marketing, IS and other internal teams as well as external agencies.•Minimize exposure and risk for programs and campaigns; resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.•Ensure email and social media communication compliance with global anti-spam and privacy legislation.•Monitor competitor social pages and track industry email marketing trends to stay on top of the ever-changing digital space. Minimum Qualifications What do you bring?Education:
Post-secondary certificate in Marketing or related field. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, or other related field preferred.Experience:
•2-3 years' experience in a medium-to-large scale digital marketing team.•Experience working with email marketing systems to manage large subscriber bases as well as planning, testing and optimizing email campaigns.•Knowledge and experience with digital marketing, marketing automation and campaign management tools.•Strong ability to troubleshoot and creatively solve problems related to email-related issues.•Knowledge of email marketing best practices, digital performance metrics and Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation.•Knowledge of social media marketing best practices.•Demonstrated knowledge of HTML/CSS code including email coding best practices and rendering troubleshooting.•Ability to manage a large number of email marketing and social media campaigns.•Prior experience working with Siebel Marketing or other email service providers (e.g. Exact Target or Silverpop).•Proactive mindset and ability to plan, communicate, and deliver project plans accordingly.•Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and have sound business judgment in project prioritization.•A remarkable ability to tailor and match our core message to the needs and pain points of our customers.Background Check:
