We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead and build a team of Software Development Engineers. Our team is responsible for and growing an innovative, confidential, and global project that informs larger company strategic decisions. We are working on a series of Customer Experience projects spanning E-Commerce apps and sites, internal workflow automation, integration with third party systems, and applied data analytics.

As a Software Development Manager, and supported by your team, you will own, develop, and help run all customer-facing and backend systems we create for our project worldwide. You will be largely self-directed, participate in a multi-discipline SCRUM team, and have a voice in strategic planning of our project.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Hire a team of software development engineers
• Directly manage the software engineering team as they design, implement, and test new features
• Participate in the full development life-cycle, including design, development, and implementation
• Implement and maintain a CD (Continuous Delivery) software development approach
• Owning key streams of the project worldwide including designing, developing, and running apps, websites & backend systems that drive our day-to-day operations
• Working closely with the business to define an expansion strategy and figure out innovative software solutions to help our project grow
• Liaising with external service providers and vendors to drive project results
• Developing and managing complex business processes, including developing an end-to-end analytical framework to help the organization interpret and take action on data
• Participating as a hands-on leader in the business and providing thought leadership to improve processes and growing the business
• Innovating and improving processes to improve key business outputs


• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
• Experience in partnering with product and program management teams
• 3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers


• 7+ years of coding experience in Java, C++, C#, and/or Python
• Track record of handling changing priorities and showing good judgement
• Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
• Practical experience in Object Oriented Design
• Working knowledge of AWS services
• Exposure to digital marketing, especially SEM, SEO, and Video Advertising
• First hand working knowledge of current web technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong sense of urgency and personal commitment
