You are a strong software development leader with a passion for building and innovating customer facing applications and systems at scale.
As Software Development Manager in the Amazon Pantry team, you will recruit and lead a high quality, creative, visionary software development team to build and innovate the technology platform that powers the Amazon Pantry program on multiple marketplaces. Your team will drive and own innovations for multiple international locales. You will closely work with international business and software development teams based in multiple America, Europe, and Asia locations.
You will make a huge, measurable impact to the Amazon Pantry program, and build and innovate solutions that are simple and easy to maintain and scale. You are great at hiring, growing, and mentoring engineers, and cultivating leadership capabilities. Previous experience in collaborating with remote teams is a big plus.
Prime Pantry is a fast-growing innovative e-commerce program, launched in US in April 2014. With the unique patent pending business model, Prime Pantry enables Amazon to expand its selection to large number of items which are cost prohibitive to ship individually. The market segment of low priced items represents a major part of retail revenue but minimum e-commerce penetration and thus huge potential growth. Prime Pantry has been one of the fastest growing program in the history of Amazon. It had expanded to 8 countries at the end of 2016.

Basic Qualifications • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
• 8+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years of experience managing software development teams of 5-7 people
• Sound fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
• Experience with designing, launching and maintaining distributed systems at scale
• A passion for the customer experience!
