We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our Amazon Route 53 Domains team in Vancouver. Our team owns the services, console, and APIs used by customers to purchase and manage their domain names. Our services are used globally by companies large and small as well as developers like yourself! Domains are a critical part of our customers' businesses and they rely on us to ensure their availability and security.
On any given day, we use SWF, DynamoDB, Lambda, and a host of internal tools. We don't expect you to be an expert in all of these technologies, but we do expect you to be excited to learn about them!

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or related field
• Distributed systems, networking, and web-services implementation experience
