The AWS IoT SiteWise Edge allows industrial customers to collect, process, and visualize from industrial automation on-premises. With SiteWise Edge, you can minimize latency for local applications and ensure they continue to get the they need even if the connection to the cloud becomes unavailable.
Industrial IoT is a fast-growing industry. Physical operations generate petabytes of - we believe that enabling our customers to easily access and act on this on-premise and in the cloud, is the key to new dynamic, diverse and highly innovative manufacturing sector, which creates interesting jobs and products with increased efficiency and less waste.
We are looking for a Software Engineer, passionate about driving continuous improvement in a truly agile environment. We work closely with customers, deliver features with frequency, and can pivot on a dime when needed. We work closely with many other AWS teams to deliver highly innovative solutions for the industrial edge.
Our technical challenges involve software engineering, edge computing, applied science, and user interface . We need to and apply quantitative (e.g. machine learning, computer vision, AR/VR) to make industrial process analysis relevant and actionable for operations engineers. We need to build software and information to manage industrial , train models and apply them to critical operations at industrial scale. We need to build intuitive, responsive user interfaces that bridge the gap of machine and human scale so that workers across the skill spectrum can be effective and included in this digital transformation of industry.

This position focuses on a new Service - SiteWise in AWS IoT to help our customers extract meaningful value out of their IoT . Our goal is to provide end-to-end solutions to make the raw from connected devices consumable for analysis. In addition, we will allow them to gain insights and build intelligence from their by applying machine learning and predictive technologies as well as perform ad-hoc analysis on their streaming and batch sources. SiteWise Edge was launched in preview at re:Invent 2020 on December 15. In 2021, we are making SiteWise Edge Generally Available (GA) and follow-up with features to 1) enable our customers to operate their industrial gateways at scale; 2) provide ubiquitous access to their at the edge; 3) enrich their experience working with a hybrid (cloud and edge) environment with the additional capabilities such as Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Analytics Visualization.

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software experience in a team.
• Experience contributing to the architecture and (architecture, patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current .
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Familiarity with IoT technology stack and metrics.
• Experience in driving systemic operational improvements.
• Experience with building embedded or resource-constrained software with limited compute power and memory.
• Experience in designing and building highly available, scalable fault-tolerant .
• Experience with machine learning, big or large scale for commercial online services.
