A day in the life
You will design, develop, review, and maintain code for services which power QuickSight's public AWS APIs, as well QuickSight's web portal. You will help advise your manager and the product team on the estimation of work as well as the priority of both feature and operational projects.

You will help mentor junior engineers within the team through ad-hoc discussions, design reviews, code reviews, as well as regular 1-on-1 meetings.

We have fun every day building scalable and robust APIs which customers leverage to build their own applications, as well as manage their business intelligence operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, OS and distributed systems.
  • Proven track record of delivery


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master Degree in Computer Science, Math or related field.
  • Experience interfacing directly with customers to gather requirements, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.
  • Experience mentoring and training the engineering community on complex technical issues.
