A singular goal of this platform is to provide our field personnel with secure, highly available, scalable and performant solutions and services so that they can continue to provide excellent service to our customers. You will have the opportunity to join a dynamic team with diverse skill sets, be able to influence our technical direction and build exciting new capabilities that operate at Amazon scale. The platform will provide the foundation for full-stack applications built using native AWS technologies. You will interface with several key stakeholders of this platform including our product, program leaders and with our key technical partners across AWS.
A qualified candidate for this role enjoys building highly scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems using native cloud architectural patterns. If you are interested in being part of AWS and building services that allow AWS to reach its innovative and aggressive goals, then we look forward to connecting with you. This is an opportunity to operate and engineer systems on a massive scale, and to gain top-notch experience in cloud computing.

In this role, you will
  • Design scalable and fault-tolerant platform components that will power full-stack applications for building compelling user experiences
  • Collaborate with UX design and product teams to understand needs, propose features, create early prototypes and transform them into exciting experiences.
  • Propose innovative tools, frameworks, automations and processes that are used by the entire services team for development.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code and perform peer code-reviews.
  • Dive deep into client or server systems to optimize for performance, maintainability, scalability, and extensibility.
  • Mentor your team members to promote engineering excellence

Work/Life Balance
Our team puts a high value on work-life balance. It isn't about how many hours you spend at home or at work; it's about the flow you establish that brings energy to both parts of your life. We believe striking the right balance between your personal and professional life is critical to life-long happiness and fulfillment. We offer flexibility in working hours and encourage you to find your own balance between your work and personal lives.

Mentorship & Career Growth
Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we're building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. Our senior members enjoy one-on-one mentoring and thorough, but kind, code reviews. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded engineer and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.
