Software Developer in Test - SDET

What & Why:

Our retail client is looking for a SDET join their e-commerce development team to assist in driving the implementation of test automation within their Agile product streams.  You will be responsible for testing the product, measuring test coverage, developing the best automation, driving testability and diagnostic ability into the product, while promoting best practices in quality areas. You should be able to communicate clearly and effectively. You will need to define test plans, test specifications, test suites, test cases as well as design tools for unit, functional and performance testing. 


Our client is located in Burnaby with a shuttle service running from Metrotown to the office.  They are a very collaborative office and celebrate success as a team.  The office has many amenities including free parking, on-site gym and a subsidized cafeteria. 


You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role: 

  • 3 years of relevant work experience, including development and/or test automation experience
  • Must be able to demonstrate core knowledge and proficiency in 1 or more programming languages (Java, C, C+,C#, .Net, Python_ Able to write code.)
  • Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases and debugging
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build and release processes, continuous deployment, and test suite development and maintenance.
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
