Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Customer Interaction:Respond promptly and accurately to customer inquiries, document vehicle concerns, and ensure clear communication throughout the service process.
  • Repair Order Accuracy:Prepare complete, legible, and accurate repair orders with all necessary customer and vehicle information, including signatures.
  • Paperwork Management:Process and finalize all service paperwork efficiently as jobs are completed.
  • Service Scheduling:Schedule service appointments with realistic timelines, adjusting for additional repair needs when required.
  • Repair Monitoring:Track work-in-progress to ensure quality, timeliness, and proactive customer updates on delays or additional repairs.
  • Customer Delivery:Review all completed repairs and service changes with customers at vehicle pickup to ensure understanding and satisfaction.
  • Warranty and Documentation:Verify warranty coverage, repair dates, and mileage, while suggesting additional necessary repairs using service history.
  • Customer Relations:Resolve complaints to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes and recommend preventive measures to reduce recurring issues.
  • Operational Support:Conduct vehicle walkarounds, manage loaner vehicles or alternate transportation, and maintain organized, clean workspace areas.
  • Compliance and Safety:Follow company policies, uphold OpenRoad's standards for customer satisfaction (CSI), and adhere to all safety practices and reporting protocols.

To Be Successful, You'll Need:
  • Experience - Minimum 5 years as an Automotive Service Advisor or in Automotive Sales, demonstrating proven expertise and customer-facing excellence.
  • Automotive Know‑How- Solid understanding of vehicles, service tools, and equipment to support accurate, efficient work.
  • Customer‑First Mindset- Skilled in customer satisfaction and retention, turning every visit into a positive experience.
  • Tech‑Confident- Comfortable using computerized maintenance systems to organize records and create clear, accurate reports.
  • Collaborative Spirit- Works cooperatively with teammates at all levels to keep the service drive running smoothly.
  • Sound Judgment- Makes thoughtful, timely decisions while staying calm and professional under pressure.
  • Licensed and Ready to Roll- Holds a valid British Columbia driver's license with a clean driving record.
