Within the Technology Strategy and Business Transformation (TSBT) business unit, the Strategy and Transformation Office is at the forefront - leading the path to position TELUS for long-term success that delivers on the promise of a connected digital world. This journey involves our teams becoming increasingly cloud-focused and embracing new ways of working. Together, we drive the high level planning, coordination, and mobilization of transformation initiatives in TBST. We lead technology strategy, transformation planning, investment management and executing on strategic programs.

Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together

As a Senior Strategy Manager, you will be part of a high profile portfolio and report to the Director, Transformation Planning. Specifically, you will build and apply knowledge of our strategy and experience to actively assess & communicate on prioritization, dependencies, strategic alignment and people change to lead our overall transformation planning in TSBT, including Digitization and Cloud. As programs and initiatives will span across a range of topics and the organization, you will be partnering with a diverse group of senior leaders. Our success will require thoughtful sequencing of efforts and continuous evolution of our planning approaches based on learnings across our team.

Here's how

    •Collaborate closely with leaders and partners to develop, articulate and align transformation plans through all phases of the program lifecycle •Analyze and prioritize program activities while establishing realistic timelines •Engage and coordinate with all levels of the organization to problem solve and execute on transformation initiatives to ensure we're aligning, driving progress and avoiding collisions •Generate recommendations to drive consensus among diverse and dissenting viewpoints, while effectively translating ideas into prioritized and actionable steps •Develop presentations and communications to provide plans, recommendations, and progress updates for leaders & stakeholders across TELUS •Engage daily with TSBT stakeholders & the Transformation Office as the primary point of contact for matters pertaining to active programs •Accurately track and manage transformation initiative issues, decisions, and risks •Build, develop and maintain reporting systems, dashboards and performance metrics •Leverage key industry contacts/network, relationships and expertise to assess best practices and frameworks to continuously refine processes



Qualifications:

You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •5-7 years of experience in Consulting, Digital agencies or working in a large complex enterprise environment •Experience leading and delivering on multiple, complex initiatives simultaneously from creation to tactical implementation •Expertise with navigating through complex organizational dynamics and creating alignment to deliver on goals •Exceptional communication skills, including compelling storytelling and presentations to executive audiences •Embrace agile thinking and ways of working to be flexible and adaptable •Demonstrate a "can-do" attitude that fosters a positive productive working environment, especially in stressful or pressured situations •Be flexible, organized, and open to feedback with excellent follow-through skills •Work effectively as part of a team and independently to meet agreed-upon deadlines •Exceptional collaboration, relationship management, influencing and negotiation skills •Understanding of emerging technologies and industry trends •Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology Management, Engineering or relatable •Program and/or Project Management certification and experience
Great-to-haves
    •5-7 years of experience working in the telecommunications industry or equivalent technology background •Experience helping organizations evolve the way they work (Operating Model, Agile, Cloud) •Master's degree in Business
