The Business Planning and Strategic Insights team within TELUS Customer Service Excellence (CSE) is responsible for strategic business planning and opex management of approximately $950m annually. As trusted partners, we help CSE and TELUS solve complex business challenges and help achieve operational and strategic goals.

As a Senior Strategy Manager you will partner closely with the CSE Leadership team and its enablement partners to provide business insights and recommendations that influence key decisions made that will optimize Opex and resources, minimize risks, drive operational excellence, impact customer and team member experiences, and shape future business growth.

Your thought leadership, ability to bring different stakeholders together and innovative thinking will help CSE identify and execute on opportunities that will help transform our operating business, drive cost optimization and allow re-investment in critical and exciting growth areas of our business.

Here's how
    •Lead and coordinate CSE's Strat Check financial planning, annual Opex budgeting process and support CSE's monthly triage process in partnership with Finance
    •Responsible for developing, measuring and reporting unit cost KPIs to accelerate cost optimization and revenue growth across CSE Sales Channels
    •Lead projects, deep dive business analyses/ investigations and present insights and conclusions to Director/VPs/EVPs to support financial decision making
    •Drive operational improvements by identifying cost saving opportunities by establishing models and processes to support prioritization and re-investment decisions
    •Collaborate with leaders across CSE to measure financial progress against both strategic and tactical initiatives


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •Five or more years of experience providing business planning and financial operational support and expertise to senior leaders
    •Team player with a collaborative mindset with a track record of building and developing cross-functional relationships
    •Able to present complex information in an easily understood manner, tailoring the communication to diverse audiences to facilitate understanding
    •Recognized for your business insight, problem solving skills, advanced analytical and financial modelling skills
    •Excellent time management, organization, and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple deliverables to oversee the portfolio in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    •Self-motivated having high standards of performance with the ability to deal with complex concepts and ambiguity

    •University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
    •Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
