Senior Software Engineer - www.Cumul8.com
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. To help our customers unlock the power of their data, you’ll work with us to deploy and build our backend technology and tools within a modern microservices tech stack. You’ll have an important role in moving our technology forward, working on various aspects of the cloud infrastructure, REST/GraphQL/WebSocket APIs, big data systems, and high throughput databases. You’ll collaborate with developers, designers, data scientists, and even our customers in an agile environment.
What Will Your Responsibilities Be?
Design and develop tools and features for the Cumul8 big data predictive analytics platform
Work with languages such as Go and Python
Work with technologies such as Kafka, Spark, MongoDB, and Kubernetes
Troubleshoot issues and work with our QA & DevOps teams to ensure stability and quality of releases
Mentor, review and guide other developers
Write wicked clean code that is modular, efficient and maintainable
Build and deploy fail-safe server code
What Qualifications Are We Looking For?
Excellent programming skills with Python or Go. Our backend is written primarily in Go. If you haven’t programmed in Go before, we build in time to learn it when you join the team.
Experience with client/server network architectures and cloud servers
Experience developing software on Linux, with relational and NoSQL databases
Experience developing large-scale, full stack web-based applications
Team-based software development background
Experience developing APIs for other developers
B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent job experience
Experience with Kubernetes and microservices architecture
Familiarity with Google Cloud, Amazon AWS or similar services
