TELUS Health is seeking a talented candidate interested in helping to build out a data services platform that will change the way our clients migrate, aggregate and visualize primary care data. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience building new tools, systems, and services that span the largest suite of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) applications in the country. The capabilities enabled by this role will deliver much-needed back-end services to a next-generation EMR platform, allowing clinicians and programs to realize unprecedented reporting capabilities and clinical insights. As the Senior Software Development Engineer on the Data Services team, you will work closely with your manager and team to design and build performant, scalable software in a hybrid cloud environment. You will be a key member of a cross-functional, agile team, working with other internal teams to understand customer requirements and develop corresponding technical requirements for implementation. You will deploy software to the TELUS private cloud, early and often, to deliver a one-stop solution for all our clients' primary care reporting needs.

•Lead, mentor and be accountable for teams in design, coding and package configuration
•Oversee coding requirements, component and assembly test plans; responsible for quality of test results
•Assist in project charter development, proof of concept testing, analysis and detail project planning
•Peer reviews, mentoring, communications with a team manager and business unit stakeholders and/or external customers
•May manage and maintain relationships with customers
•Strategic thinking, and understanding of the customer vertical Qualifications:You're the missing piece of the puzzle
•Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field
•7+ years of experience in software development with Java, C#, or other similar programming languages
•Demonstrated ability to communicate directly with stakeholders, technical team members, and management
•Knowledge of fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, complexity analysis and databases
•Experience deploying, monitoring and supporting production software systems Great-to-haves (optional)
•Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
•2+ years of experience mentoring other software developers and driving software design across multiple teams
•Experience working with NoSQL databases
