The Drop Control Centre of Excellence is responsible for providing a world-class customer experience as we connect our fibre-optic drop infrastructure directly to customer's homes and businesses, throughout Western Canada. We are laying the foundation for access to future solutions like the connected home, smart cities, and our TELUS Health applications.

As someone who is inquisitive, excited about technology, enthusiastic about being part of a team and enjoys a good challenge, you will be part of the Drops Control Centre of Excellence team developing and executing on initiatives with high risk and business impact through project and stakeholder relationship management, rigorous data analysis, and plan-to-execution.

Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together
    •Take ownership for large projects from concept to execution
    •Successfully liaise with all internal and external stakeholders to support with fibre drop placement to meet deliverables and commitments
    •Lead and facilitate meetings and working sessions with cross-functional stakeholders in order to achieve desired outcomes
    •Maintain a strong understanding of TELUS applications, products and services, organizational delivery capabilities, and TELUS end-to-end processes
    •Maintain awareness of industry trends and technology available that would, if implemented, result in operational or efficiency improvements to current processes
    •Leverage TELUS' applications to develop solutions that meet or exceed business requirements
    •Manage project financials

Qualifications:


What YOU bring:
    •Experience managing large scale projects with multiple stakeholder groups
    •Experience managing external vendors to achieve desired business outcomes
    •Experience dealing with ambiguous requirements and translating them into concrete project outcomes
    •Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, negotiation, communication and analytical skills
    •Excellent communication and collaboration skills - you can translate complex technical topics into easily understood concepts for our stakeholders and team members
    •Highly motivated, creative and self-sufficient with the ability to work successfully under pressure
    •Degree/Diploma in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education and/or experience
    •PMP designation preferred, but not required
    •Minimum 5+ years of work experience managing projects or leading cross functional teams
    •Stakeholder management experience including senior executives is an asset
