Expected Salary (British Columbia): $119,200 - $163,900
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. What you can expect to do here:
As a Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Work with various internal and external stakeholders to plan projects (scope, schedule, and budget) with the support of a Project Director and the rest of the Heritage Team.
- Successfully manage projects from proposal to closure.
- Track all project costs to ensure they fall within budget; procure extra budget funding where necessary.
- Assemble, manage and use a project monitoring system to monitor and track project progress with respect to schedule and budget
- Implement various project financial and accounting processes to manage DSO, variance, and project multipliers.
- Establish, implement, and follow a formal change management program.
- Develop and implement project support plans (health and safety, quality, risk management, communication, documentation, etc.).
- Manage projects with technical teams to deliver on schedule and budget, and meet the technical requirements of clients, Indigenous organizations, and regulatory agencies.
- Communicate regularly and frequently with clients and project teams to offer support and guidance.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior project staff.
- Participate in WSP's Health & Safety program. Demonstrating a "Safety First" focus and acting as a role model to other staff.
What you'll bring to WSP ...
- Minimum of 5 years related project management work experience, ideally within a large and diverse organization.
- An interest in archaeology and cultural heritage and working with Indigenous groups.
- Superior project planning and organizational skills; successful ability to lead diverse teams.
- Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Adobe Acrobat Software.
- Experience in Horizon Oracle or similar accounting systems would be an asset.
- Detail conscious and result oriented.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethics.
- Ability to contribute to a positive team environment.
- Experience in engineering or environmental consulting and or a PMP would be considered an asset.
