The Customer Network Implementation team is delivering a world-class customer experience by expanding our fibre-optic infrastructure directly to homes and businesses across British Columbia and Alberta. This team is also key enablers of TELUS' wireless strategy through managing the delivery of fibre-boosted wireless coverage nationally.
The investment will ensure speed and capacity for generations to come, and create the foundation for access to future solutions like the connected home, smart cities, and our TELUS Health applications. This program is helping enable innovation in the delivery of education, healthcare solutions and consumer & business products and services while putting Canadian communities at the forefront of the emerging digital economy.
This portfolio is on the cutting edge of innovation in the telecommunications space where TELUS is actively engaged with communities of all sizes to identify opportunities to expand broadband technology and services to areas otherwise unreachable and also expanding our wireless coverage through broadband enabled small cell deployments. This is a fast-growing portfolio and one of the most strategic network programs at TELUS. Therefore stating grit, endless creativity, and stamina are a requirement is an understatement. You will lead the end-to-end program for increasing wireless coverage nationally through fibre-boosted small cell deployments while ensuring strong ROI and economics for TELUS. Looking for a high energy and dynamic individual to join our Local Governments and Custom Deals team.
You will collaborate with both a core program team and cross-functional teams to support the following key activities:
•Work with cross-functional teams to manage the end-to-end delivery of small cell deployments per monthly targets
•Capture, track and manage project financials, reporting on status to leadership
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to develop 12 month-view of strategic plan for small cell program
•Facilitate discussions to ensure program alignment and broadband network alignment to wireless network evolution Here's how
•Own the end-to-end management of CNI Wireless Program to deliver fibre-boosted wireless coverage through BC, Alberta and Quebec
•Work with constituent Program and Project Managers and interact with senior executives to establish strategic plans and objectives
•Actively manage and own the full budget management lifecycle (Forecasting/tracking/reporting) for the CNI Small Cell Program
•Maximize project team performance by providing team members with a clear sense of direction and an understanding of their respective responsibilities, and by encouraging open discussion of ideas, issues, and competing viewpoints
•Exercise sound and prudent judgment
•Mentor and collaborate with fellow team members Qualifications: You're the missing piece of the puzzle
•A proven track record for consistently delivering results and effectively meeting program milestones and proactively identify when it's necessary to take certain steps and move ahead with confidence
•Advanced ability to work effectively with various levels of management and cross functional teams
•Advanced interpersonal, communication, presentation & facilitation skills
•Proven track record of managing high profile, high impact budgets and projects
•Outstanding business & financial acumen with the ability to anticipate and develop strategies in a rapidly evolving telecommunication industry; while a background in Telecommunications is great it's not required
•Recipient of a bachelor's degree or post-secondary diploma in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent education and/or experience Great-to-haves
•Prior experience with wireless networks or with managing wireless or broadband network deployments
