As Senior Program Manager - focusing on Product lifecycle optimization and deselection - you will be responsible for designing and supporting the governance, delivery and benefits realization of the legacy/non-critical products that need to be optimized, migrated to new solutions, or decommissioned. This exciting role involves partnership across multiple business units including TES, TBS, TPS and TSBT to coordinate and lead a thoughtful and transparent approach for migrating existing customers away from deselected products while mitigating risk. deselection plan and accelerate speed to value.

The role requires a strong governance background, delivery, stakeholder management, financial impact analysis, and process improvement experience. You wear several hats: strategic influencer, consultant, analyst, forecaster and storyteller. You're not afraid to dive deep into the details as required but can easily synthesize and communicate with senior leaders and stakeholders in support of key initiatives. You are a pragmatic, no-nonsense team member that enjoys complex business problems. Your counsel is equal parts logic, analysis and strategy. You have a natural curiosity and you appreciate that failure and vulnerability are healthy ways to learn and grow.

You, as the Senior Program Manager, will help a cross functional team of highly engaged professionals through a variety of fast paced and exciting challenges related to product lifecycle management and deselection. You will identify, own and implement initiatives related to process design, re-design and process improvement, all the way through sustained benefits realization to increase quality and value.

This position requires a self-starter with an engaging leadership style, solid influencing and facilitation skills.     •Lead the delivery of lean processes to support new TELUS business products and services, with a holistic view of the end to end value chain
    •Manage multiple, complex process transformation projects independently, alongside key KPIs, from inception to delivery, including business case development, project definition, mobilization, execution and closure
    •Partner with project primes and stakeholders across multiple functional areas to assess and identify business areas lacking meaningful processes, and design (or re-design) processes to support sustainable growth, optimal customer experience and reduced costs
    •Lead and coach cross-functional project team members in application of various process methodologies including Lean Design, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen/ among others
    •Provide timely project status updates, feedback and appropriate level of reporting on assigned projects


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •Excellent working knowledge of process transformation, including but not limited to designing new lean processes, re-designing/overhauling inefficient processes, lifecycle management, and evolving existing processes
    •Excellent project management, change management and facilitation skills
    •Knowledge of analytical problem solving techniques, project lifecycle and lean methodologies
    •Analytical, problem identification and problem solving skills; advanced ability to synthesize data to support decision-making
    •Ability to communicate with senior management on a regular basis, with a strong ability to handle ambiguous issues/situations, strong presentation skills
    •Proficient in process modelling and mapping techniques
    •Financial analysis and business case development experience, particularly cash flow improvement tactics and building a total cost of ownership view.
    •Proven hands-on experience in Process Transformation (Process Design and Improvement), Project Management or Change Management roles
    •Experience tailoring and adjusting the implementation of process improvement techniques (LSS, Lean, Kaizen) based on the organizational needs and environmental factors

    •Bilingualism in French and English - oral and written fluency in both languages
    •Strong background in network products, services (wireless/fixed broadband, telecom and non-telecom IT offerings and system/platforms) for context on multi-mapping of migrations or decisions for product state for the customer base.
    •Strong knowledge of wireless / fixed broadband, Telecom and non-Telecom IT applications, systems, platforms and services
    •Leadership experience
    •Experience in the telecommunications industry or engineering is a strong asset
    •Product Management and/or Sales Experience
    •Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB), Prosci Change Management Professional (CMP), Kaizen (Own.It) certification
    •Engineering, IT or related technical degree with MBA preferred, or MBA with strong technical background and demonstrated experience/competence working with IP, wireless and related technologies, or 10+ years business background in a technology industry with relevant experience in a product management or development role
    •Familiarity working with Tableau
