Job Description:

Department Overview

The Wealth Investment Office (WIO) is TD Wealth's source for investment management strategy. We empower advisors and portfolio managers across TD Bank Group's Wealth Management division - including Financial Planning and Private Wealth Management - by delivering the knowledge and tools they need to execute an efficient and consistent approach to Professional Portfolio Management. WIO is a place for professionals who love to manage money and get excited about the opportunity to consult with others on how to build and manage investment portfolios. This is not a place for people stuck in neutral. WIO is a dynamic, multifaceted, multi-channel group working on numerous priorities and initiatives in a fast-paced environment. The WIO is embedded in the heart of TD Wealth Management for maximum impact on all the firm's investment advice professionals.

Position Overview

Are you passionate about portfolio construction and process driven investment management? This role is ideal for someone who wants to directly impact TD Wealth Financial Planners. As a Senior Portfolio Management Consultant (PMC) you will collaborate with partners in Practice Management, TD Asset Management & Private Wealth Management to support TD Wealth's Financial planners in implementing and delivering professional investment management, leading to better outcomes for our TD Wealth clients.

Key Responsibilities
• Drive adoption of Professional Investment Management across advisors and platforms, influencing consistent behaviors and standards.
• Lead high-impact coaching engagements that result in measurable changes (e.g., stronger portfolio consistency, improved client investment experience, improved practice efficiency).
• Create and evolve model portfolios and portfolio construction guidance (asset allocation philosophy, security selection criteria, rebalancing triggers) to support different needs.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships across the business (field leadership and key internal partners) to deliver integrated programs and materials.

What you'll deliver

Individual consultations (1:1, advisor-facing):
• Deliver one-on-one consulting on Professional Investment Management aligned to the Financial Planner Guide/key elements, supporting Financial Planners and field leaderships.
• Prepare advisors for client meetings through investment education, WIO publications, and portfolio reviews.
• Conduct annual book reviews, model reviews, and client portfolio reviews.

Team-based consulting (field enablement):
• Provide regular WIO updates to the field (progress updates, how to leverage WIO publications to build trust and business, wealth management knowledge sharing), at least quarterly.
• Run monthly touchpoints with field leaders and internal stakeholders (e.g., TDAM, Practice Management and other field partners).
• Deliver training (proposal tool training; FP new hire training; Elite Financial Planner training as applicable).

• Create projects with TD wealth partners that align with business needs; able to implement and execute and deliver measurable outcomes.

Tools and analytics
• Hands-on experience using analytical platforms (Morningstar Direct preferred) to analyze portfolios/holdings, support portfolio reviews, and enable advisor coaching and recommendations.
• Comfort working with common advisory/portfolio platforms referenced in the current role materials (e.g., SMA, Fee based and Transactional Account).
• Strong Excel / MS Office capability for analysis, tracking, and presentation materials.

Qualifications and fit
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, or Mathematics (or similar).
• Investment industry accreditation (e.g., CFP, CIM).

• CFA completed or in progress is an asset; financial planning designation or post-graduate degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in financial services with strong market knowledge and experience working with advisors and mass affluent clientele.

• Strong investment and product knowledge on different types of investment vehicles (Stocks, Bonds, Mutual funds, ETFs and Cash etc.)

• Strong communication and presentation skills, strong relationship management, excellent time management, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
