The TELUS Security Enablement Team within Technology Strategy and Business Transformation is responsible for key areas that support the TELUS Cyber Security team, such as Strategy, Acquisitions, Customer Project Management and Performance Analysis. Specifically, the Performance Analysis team ensures that all of the key metrics are kept in line, including forecasting the revenue, gross margins and OPEX, as well as preparing and presenting metrics and profitability directly to the business.

Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together

We are looking for a Sr. Performance Analyst to provide integral support to the broader Security Team through reporting and analysis of key financial and operational metrics. You will analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources and use your findings to tell the story of our current state but also where we are headed and where we should be heading, by ensuring that you can efficiently distill the information in a way that both more and less savvy crowds can understand.

You will work closely with stakeholders in all divisions of TELUS Cyber Security and our partners in Finance to understand and report on the financials of our business - both on internal to TELUS and on customer-facing projects. Your work on reporting, and insights will help our leaders make better decisions about the direction of our business.

Here's how
    •Gather data from multiple sources, synthesize it and build insights about the performance of our business.
    •Develop a framework and facilitate regular meetings to review, analyze, and report on key metrics and targets to drive improvements.
    •Present your findings and recommendations in both written and verbal presentations.
    •Building strong relationships with key stakeholders (Sales, Product Marketing, Operations, Project Management Office) to better understand their parts of the business and to provide them actionable reporting and insights
    •Recognize patterns and trends in Security financials and investigate to determine if changes are expected and why and/or work with other teams to correct
    •Be the prime for cross team collaboration on Security profitability
    •Prepare other types analysis, as required on an ad-hoc basi


Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •You are recognized for your experience working hands-on with financials, your ability to quickly understand them and spot trends and discrepancies within them.
    •You are sought out for your analytical skills and thinking and combine these with the ability to manipulate financial and operational data in Excel/Sheets and Tableau.
    •You are commended for your inquisitive nature and an inherent curiosity to understand the 'why' when looking at financial or operational data.
    •You are a strong presenter and can tailor your message to all crowds be it from the technically savvy, to more operational or even senior leadership or executive level.
    •You are a trusted partner and can easily build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
    •You are a Microsoft (MS) Excel, PowerPoint, SFDC, Tableau and Google Suite of services wizard and have the ability to work with and design dashboards and executive level presentations using these tools.
    •You are respected for your ability to quickly understand and break down targeted metrics, explain their results and solve problems.

Great-to-haves
    •University degree in a related field
    •Financial analysis or management background and experience.
