The Sustainability and Environment team might just be the perfect fit for you. As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you manage a wide range of environmental issues for TELUS across Canada. As a strong communicator, collaborator and strategic thinker you will work across the organization to continue development and management of our construction risk program and its integration into TELUS' Environmental Management System. Additionally, you will manage TELUS' spills and releases reporting process.

Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together

Reporting to the Manager of Environment, you will take on the following roles:
    •Work with our internal partners and contractors to continue development and management of TELUS' construction risk program
    •Manage TELUS' spills and releases reporting process
    •Provide support for other team areas including Environmental Management System audits, communications, training and strategic initiatives

Here's how
    •Strong background in environmental management issues with particular focus on infrastructure construction projects and their environmental aspects including: ecological risk assessment, regulatory permitting requirements, waste management, and spills and releases
    •A good understanding of applicable federal, provincial and municipal (primarily Alberta, BC, and Quebec) environmental legislation is required
    •A working knowledge of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard is an asset


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •Minimum of 5 years of experience in an environmental management role
    •Experience with large organizations and/or utilities is an asset
    •Project Manager and Communicator: demonstrates strong project management and communication skills
    •Motivated Self-Starter: attains a strong work ethic to achieve goals in a team setting and independently with minimal supervision
    •Undergraduate degree or technical diploma in environmental science, management or engineering as a minimum
    •Preference will be given to bilingual candidates (English and French)
