The Core Enterprise Architecture team works as the "conscience" of IT in Telus, providing guidance to our most critical strategic transformation projects, defining and supporting our Enterprise Architecture practice, supporting our IT governance activities, and bringing knowledge of emerging technology and trends into our architecture and IT practices. As a senior member of that team, the Senior Enterprise Architect is expected to have significant industry and IT experience to guide, lead, and mentor other team members.

•Work with Business and IT stakeholders to define the Cloud strategy for TELUS and create a strategic roadmap, with the goals of increasing the value, cost-effectiveness, reliability, security, and agility of TELUS IT applications
•Partner with other architects, business and technical teams, vendors, and partners, to understand business needs and translate them into capability/platform roadmaps and work toward realizing the roadmaps
•Work closely with various teams (Business, Vendors, Partners, Development, Infrastructure, PMO, etc.) to define and implement elegant, scalable and sustainable technical solutions using the appropriate Cloud technologies, with a focus on adhering to standards, best practices and code quality techniques
•Guide, review and approve architecture solutions, roadmaps, integration services, frameworks, standards, and models developed and maintained by others, ensuring that they are consistent with the architecture strategy and standards
•Collaborate to define program-level solution architectures for the most critical transformational programs
•Liaise with industry standards bodies and other collaboration partner companies to evolve application, data, and infrastructure standards and best practices at TELUS
•Be regarded as one of the most senior IT professionals in the organization, actively engage in process improvement, learning activities, and mentoring and coaching for other architects and IT team members
•As a senior member of the EA team, take an active role in assisting architecture leadership with increasing team member engagement, knowledge, and career opportunities Here's how
You will have:
•Solid knowledge of Enterprise Architecture concepts, techniques, and discipline
•Knowledge of typical architecture activities and deliverables, including creation and presentation of roadmaps, position papers, strategic proposals, standards, and models
•Exposure to industry enterprise architecture frameworks, including TOGAF, ITIL, Zachman, Archimate; knowledge of telecom based frameworks like TAM, SID, and eTOM is a plus
•Business knowledge of one or more business domains (Sales, Marketing, Order Entry, Fulfillment, Assurance, Billing, Finance, Planning and Engineering, Logistics)
•Solid architecture experience with GCP/AWS and the services they offer, ability to compare different managed services and experience with integrating services in a cloud setting
•Direct experience with Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift from a developers perspective
•Knowledge of Cloud Native development requirements: CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, Microservices, Containers
•Comfortable with hands-on development in Node.js/React or Spring Boot
•Direct experience designing, building, or migrating applications onto the cloud
•Broad knowledge of an array of programming languages, database technologies, integration technologies, infrastructure tools, and operating systems
•Familiarity with specific telecommunications OSS, BSS, and enterprise support systems is a plus Qualifications:You're the missing piece of the puzzle

What can be more impressive:
•A University degree in a related field or the equivalent experience demonstrated by progressive responsibilities
•Experience with a minimum of 8 years as an IT architect in a large/complex organization or solutions provider or
•Experience with a minimum of 5 years as an enterprise architect Great-to-haves
•Cloud Architect Certification strongly preferred
•Some project management experience is a distinct advantage
