Position Highlights There is an opportunity to work as a Senior Developer as part of the Claims Application Delivery & Support Team. The Senior Developer will assist with resolving support incidents and lead the development of fixes, enhancements and projects from initiation to implementation. They will work with other developers, or as the sole developer, and will work in a cross functional team of developers, business system analysts, testers and the Business following the discipline agile framework.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- Providing technical expertise as a DA Application Architect Owner in the design, development and implementation of enhancements to meet business requirements; - Modifying the Guidewire application to conform to customer-specific requirements - front-end, back-end and integration development; - Using OutSystems technology to support automation of certain processes and forms; - Providing senor technical leadership to peer developers for system design and guidance on best practices for coding; - Managing effective working relationships with the DA cross functional team as well as other stakeholders; - Resolving issues identified in testing; - Supporting existing applications in the Solution Portfolio; - Providing production support in incident resolution; - Providing mentoring and coaching to fellow developers and other team members.

Position Requirements The successful applicant will bring the following demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to this role: - 5+ years industry experience. - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). - Advanced knowledge and experience programming in Java, XML, SQL, Javascript; - Working experience and demonstrated ability with Java J Unit testing, Oracle Database/SQL skills, Data Modeling, SOAP UI, XML, Ant Scripting, Messaging, MQ, UNIX;

- Applied knowledge of agile methodology; - Knowledge of SOA and the consumer adapter; - Knowledge and experience to resolve technical issues related to Message Broker, Web service development, MQ. - Applied knowledge of best practices, methods and techniques of systems analysis and design to ensure effective application design; - Advanced knowledge of application debugging techniques and tools and quality assurance practices; - Demonstrated experience in a leadership role (i.e. Architect owner, technical lead, team lead/scrum master); - Strong facilitation and relationship management skills. - Strong analysis and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and do research to find solutions; - Knowledge and experience in Guidewire products, specifically ClaimCenter, will be an asset; - Knowledge and experience in Outsystems development will be an asset; - Knowledge and experience in Delphi will be an asset; - Strong understanding and experience of Mitchell Estimating framework will be an asset.
