We're looking for a creative, driven, passionate and energetic high-performer to join the TELUS Business Solutions team, providing strategic communications support for TELUS Enterprise Solutions and TELUS Partner Solutions.

Position overview

Reporting to the Director, Communications, as a Senior Communications Manager you will build, deliver and manage a fully integrated internal and external communications plan for the President, TELUS Enterprise Solutions and TELUS Partner Solutions. As part of the role, you will drive and execute the overall integrated communications strategy and end-to-end tactical execution.

What you'll do in this role:
    •Develop and implement an integrated communication plan for Enterprise and Partner Solutions that delivers on our business and team priorities (examples include: town halls, virtual coffee chats, national events, and special communications projects)
    •Advise senior executives on issues surrounding communications and outreach, which can include advising on communication strategies, channels, and tactics which best address their needs, and work closely with their corporate communication colleagues
    •Manage content generation for internal events, including senior leadership roadshows and quarterly team meetings
    •In partnership with People & Culture, develop programs that enhance our culture, instill pride, and drive a sense of belonging for team members
    •As required, help develop, execute and manage communications strategies for organizational changes and acquisitions
    •Draft, revise, edit, and produce a broad range of communication tools targeting TELUS team members, which includes bulletins, articles and internal stories, leader briefs, organizational announcements, presentations, and speeches, targeting a variety of internal audiences
    •As required, produce external speeches for the President and senior executives at key external events
    •Work closely with key stakeholders across TELUS including teams in communications, media relations, government relations, and investor relations teams to help drive and execute key communications activities
    •Propose and track key performance indicators and budget for communications activities


What you bring:
    •Excellence in researching, writing, editing and proof-reading
    •Excellence in strategic planning, project management, and execution
    •Strong comfort level to work in a fast-paced environment, and an equally strong ability to analyze and articulate complex situations and issues
    •Strong ability to adapt to a challenging and variable work environment, multi-task, manage multiple ongoing requests, prioritize projects, and meet tight deadlines
    •Excellent ability to manage organizational challenges and experience in communications management related to acquisitions
    •Outstanding skills in drafting communication plans, bulletins, articles, presentations, communication toolkits, speeches, and other documents
    •Very good understanding of communications and project management tools such as Google Suite collaboration tools, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel (Adobe Creative Suite is a major asset)
    •Ability to effectively collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and build business partnerships
    •Other major assets include: French proficiency, Adobe Creative Suite, familiarity with the telecommunications and/or technology sector
    •Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, writing, human resources or public relations
    •Minimum of 7-8 years' experience on a corporate communications team, preferably for a large national company
