The Inventory, Ordering and Fulfilment (IOF) group is a forward-focused solutions provider within TELUS responsible for internally and externally-facing ordering and fulfillment systems. We help business teams bring new ideas and products to market in a rapid fashion.
The Portals and Catalog team's mission within IOF is ownership of the systems involved with defining what products we sell and how to order them. Our domain covers a variety of web applications and back-end services that integrate across the company.
Our team plays a central role in program delivery and is a key business enabler across our Home Solutions, B2B and Wireless business units.
Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together
You will leverage your expertise, and support the catalogue development teams and provide guidance and expertise to drive quality within the product team.
As a quality assurance lead you will help define and develop improvements in test automation, and use your experience to guide the development teams towards best-practices in balancing quality and reliability with an agile delivery methodology.
You will have the opportunity to build both technical and soft skills in a variety of scenarios working with developers, project managers and leaders across the organization.
•Collaborate with our team to identify, develop, and execute test suites and test strategies, to promote overall quality of our products, while also enabling flexible and rapid development
•Work with Continuous Delivery team on promoting the use of and adoption of test automation
•Work with developers to build and maintain automated testing strategies and frameworks
•Mentor team members on testing best practices and processes
•Communicate quality metrics across technical and leadership team members
•Coordinate with Project Managers, leadership teams, and other delivery teams Qualifications:You're the missing piece of the puzzle
•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
•3-5 years' experience working in a QA role, or QA Lead role
•Talented at taking a systems view approach to problem solving
•Solid understanding of web systems concepts
•Familiarity with DevOps best practices Great-to-haves
•Experience in a telecommunications environment
•Familiarity with containerized cloud-based environments such as Kubernetes or Google Cloud Platform
•Experience in supporting catalogue-driven systems
