The Provider Solutions - Electronic Medical Record (EMR) team is a small team with big scope. We work with internal and external stakeholders to integrate our EMR applications with other stakeholders in the health care system.

TELUS Health is already the largest provider of EMRs in Canada and we're stepping up to the next challenge of inter-connecting health systems for better patient experience and more efficient healthcare delivery. We are looking for a Business Analyst to help us with that objective.

Following the recent announcement of TELUS Health acquiring the Medisys Health Group (MHG), a leading provider of preventive healthcare and wellness services for 4,500 companies across Canada, we are looking to expand our team to support this exciting partnership.

As a part of this team, the successful candidate will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build integrated solutions that connect clinical information systems. The successful candidate will be responsible working with cross functional teams to analyze and capture business requirements to support the advancement of TELUS Health's integration strategy.

Here's how

The Senior Business Analyst will be accountable for moving projects, required for Medisys Health Group acquisition, through the development cycle. The Senior Business Analyst will support the Program Manager & Product Manager/s in a variety of tasks related to integration, product design, workflow design, functional testing, troubleshooting, and communications. The Senior Business Analyst will be accountable and responsible for requirements related to integration of our EMRs with other internal & external information systems.
    •Drive collaboration across multi-disciplined teams towards effective solutions for a newly acquired company •Work with other team members to interpret integration and workflow requirements to produce epics with the program manager, product manager, business unit leader or external partner •Collaborate with product and development teams to create and maintain user stories to guide development and testing •Own & manage the product backlog, balancing dependencies across multiple stakeholders •Communicate clearly the product vision and priorities •Support programmers and other analysts •Collaborate with testing teams to create and coordinate test plans, conformance plans & test strategies •Work with internal and external client to understand business requirements in a highly complex technical environment •Elicit and understand the related workflows, how they affect our customers and how our ecosystem might need to be enhanced to support the workflows •Create and maintain technical requirements documentation, software requirements & functional specifications •Develop material for and host demos with different stakeholder groups •Support other product launch activities such as developing and documenting operational processes


Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •Post-secondary education in the Health Sciences/Computer Science and/or equivalent work experience/education •7-10 years as a business analyst with experience in complex integration projects •3-5 years of experience working in an Agile environment •Experience in the health sector, preferably in primary care •Strong analytical skills with a razor sharp focus and attention to details •Keen documentation & communication skills •Focus on finding collaborative solutions rather than listing problems •Demonstrated ability to interact with external client stakeholders •Strong team player and with strong interest in taking on new challenges •Desire to work in a fast-moving and dynamic environment •High level of initiative, decisiveness and business acumen •Ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and synthetic way

Great-to-haves
    •Working knowledge of EMR applications •Proficient in English & French, written & spoken •Strong knowledge of Information Technology (IT) Privacy & Security concepts, protected health information (PHI) & proven ability to drive and support Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) & Threat Risk Assessment (TRA) projects for technical solutions
