Job Description

Certainty Software is a growing SaaS software company headquartered in Victoria, BC with an extended team around the globe. The Certainty Team is looking to add a talented and outgoing part time Senior Developer to help with the ongoing development of our web-based Certainty auditing and inspection management software solution.

You will play a key role in the ongoing support for and development of our proven product that is now used by hundreds of thousands of professionals globally to complete millions of audits/inspections annually.

We are looking for an energetic self-starter with initiative and an entrepreneurial spirit. You will be an outstanding problem solver, ready to learn and eager help us in our goal of ensuring we continue to deliver great solutions to a growing list of happy clients.

You will be working remotely but directly with our Lead Developer and CTO and be expected to work on all aspects of the Certainty solution including new features, bug fixes and custom development requirements as needed.

Qualifications and Required Experience

Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the software development industry

Minimum of 8+ years’ direct software development experience

Further Technical Requirements

Cloud based services background

Strong knowledge of software design principles and methodologies

Experience in an Agile development environment

Proficient with Microsoft SQL

Experience with the following development languages: C#, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET, Angular

Experience with AWS and Jenkins a big plus

Key Responsibilities

Work on new product features, bug fixes and custom development requirements

Work both with the Certainty development team and alone

Ensure quality standards are met and exceeded

Excellent communication skills – verbal and written

Able to perform under pressure

Hours & Location

This position is part time initially (up to 20 hours per week) but could become full time if initial performance goals and targets are met satisfactorily.

Location is remote but you must be based in Victoria, Vancouver or the lower mainland of BC.
