Our Vancouver office is seeking Senior Accountants across three of our industry groups:
- Financial Institutions and Real Estate (FIRES)
- Information and Communications, Consumer Markets and Entertainment (ICE)
- Energy and natural resources (ENR)
- Conduct external audits and lead teams in this regard.
- Assist with developing the audit plan and execute the audit of financial statements and notes thereto.
- Identify, analyze and conclude on accounting issues.
- Lead engagement teams in the field and coach and mentor junior staff members.
- Continuous communication with Managers and Partners updating the progress and status of the audit.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Management of the client.
- Provide service that represents a high-value mark for our firm, helping companies assess their risk as they work to ensure transparency across their operations.
- At times, business needs arise and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal work day or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job. Likewise, people need time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.
- Undergraduate degree
- Successful completion of the CFE or working towards a CPA designation
- 3 - 5 years working in a public accounting firm using IFRS, working with publicly listed and/or private clients.
- Obtained experience working on financial institution or real estate clients would be desirable, however is not a requirement.
- Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the clients' business and maintain strong client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and are a strong team player.
- Meticulous attention to detail, organization and planning skills.
The expected base salary range for this position is $59,500 to $94,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
