Are you looking for a key role on a DevOps team that gives you the opportunity to provide expertise on application security design as products are being built?


Maintaining the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of our client and employee information is crucial. We’re seeking an experienced security engineer to design and implement application security controls and provide guidance to our internal application development community to utilize best security practices.

What you’ll do

As a security engineer II you will:

  • Provide expertise on application security design and guidance and leadership to our internal application-development community to utilize best security practices
  • Work closely with IT teams, product owners, and solution architects to understand business goals, determine security requirements, design and implement application and data security solutions to meet business objectives, and comply with corporate and regulatory requirements
  • Design, develop, integrate, and sustain security building blocks that provide confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation for software products built by the DevOps teams
  • Train developers on secure coding practices and hacking techniques to embed knowledge of security into the development process

Your experience and educational background:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) field
  • A minimum of six years of experience in progressively complex roles within an IT environment, with a primary focus in the last two years in Cloud technology
  • A security certification (CISSP, GIAC, CISM) is preferred
  • Specialist knowledge of MS Azure or similar Cloud platforms, such as Amazon Web Services
  • Working knowledge of MS Visual Studio Team System or similar continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) technologies such as Team Foundation Server, Jenkins, CI, Github, and Artifactory
  • Working knowledge of deploying applications to Azure Cloud or using container technology such as Docker
  • Working knowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies such as TOGAF
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Working knowledge of API architecture such as Windows Communication Foundation, Web Services, or Messaging
  • General knowledge of configuration management and automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible, and Terraform
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
