  • What you'll do

    Position Title:SAP iXp Intern - Full Stack Developer

    Location:Vancouver, BC

    Expected Start Date: 15 April 2024

    Contract Duration: 8 months

    Work Hours: 40 hours per week

    • Quick at learning new development languages and frameworks and keen on learning how SAP applications work
    • Develop and test application features, write test automation scripts, perform unit testing, and troubleshoot bugs
    • Strong will to pursue a problem, identify the source, and propose possible solutions in collaboration with other team members
    • Self-motivated and has the desire to learn new technologies, plus share the learnings
    • Adaptable to new processes, tools, and working environment
    • Engaged and enthusiastic, eager to speak up and ask questions
    • Detail oriented and able to follow documentation procedures
    • Ability to perform thorough tests against the deliverables
    • Understand and embody Agile practices and values

    The Partner Engineering Team are looking for an energetic and innovative Full Stack Developer Intern to help with our next generation of cloud-based applications. We are looking for someone who is creative and resourceful in getting things to work, with an eye for quality and testability, and interested in working collaboratively with other software developers and teams around the globe.     Skills / Competencies

    Basic Skills:
    • Understanding of software applications, software development lifecycle, and development methodologies (Agile/Scrum)
    • Strong programming skills and experience with object-oriented languages such as Java
    • Strong proficiency in front-end development languages (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
    • Flexibility to work with a global team in various time zones
    • Clear and concise communication, both verbal and written
    • Strong desire to interact with and learn from senior members of the team
    • Familiarity with development tools such as Git and JIRA

    Nice to Have:
    • JavaScript framework (Vue.js) experience preferred
    • Java framework (Spring Boot) experience preferred
    • DevOps experience preferred
    • Experience with databases (SQL and/or HANADB) preferred
    • UI Unit and/or E2E Testing experience preferred

    Educational Requirements
    • Requires candidates to be currently enrolled in or have recently completed an undergraduate program which is applicable to the position.
