What you'll do

We're looking for an outstanding Cloud Financial Operations Program Manager who promotes shared responsibility for organizations cloud computing infrastructure and costs. We view financial operations (FinOps) as a public cloud management discipline that enables organizations to get maximum business value from cloud by helping technology, finance, and business teams to collaborate on data-driven spending decisions.

Expectations and Tasks
  • Develop process and maintain support for engineering teams to maintain their hyperscaler environment budgets.
  • Lead metrics and dashboard review meetings • Devise and distribute billing reports to internal stakeholders, to achieve effective cost management
  • Create operational metrics to demonstrate costs and usage and to identify areas for cost-cutting and improvement
  • Develop and maintain cost and forecasting models to provide required insights on current and future cloud spend.
  • Develop & track opportunities to optimize costs and operational improvement with key internal infrastructure and service providers.
  • Partner with application, product and infrastructure teams on ongoing basis to help them understand their cloud spend and optimize it based on their unique needs
  • Provide senior level expertise and serve as a key advisor to leadership on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprises overall Cloud cost strategy, consumption and optimization.
  • Perform consumption analysis to define and execute reserved instances and savings plans.
  • Serve as a liaison between AWS and us to obtain recommendations on how to reduce costs and use resources effectively in our Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments
  • Work within the Cloud organization including Architecture and SRE to ensure cost optimization efforts are understood incorporated in the patterns and policies


What you will bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Operations, or other relevant discipline.
  • 5+ years of project and/or operations management in a software development environment.
  • Advanced understanding of cloud platforms, consoles, and services (Azure, AWS, and Google) including Cost Explorer, Cost and Usage Reports, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Sustained Use Discounts/Committed and other Cloud cost mechanics
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to discern patterns, drive efficiencies, and lower total cost of ownership for technology processes and solutions.
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to productively converse with business stakeholders and engineers alike.
  • Experience creating advanced product level visibility that will help drive better business decisions and cost accountability.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit who relishes new challenges and is comfortable plotting a course through ambiguity.
  • Self-driven and able to work across diverse technical and non-technical teams.
  • Team player willing to jump in and solve problems.
  • Strong organizational, task, and project management skills
  • PMP strongly preferred
  • Master's Degree preferred
